James Louis Doskey

James L. “Jimmy” Doskey passed away Thursday, November 22, 2012. He was a native of New Orleans born to the late Camille and Elsie Doskey. Jimmy was the beloved husband the late Theresa Doskey. He is survived by his son Daniel, grandchildren August & Lily Doskey, and siblings Betty, Richard and David Doskey. He was preceded in death by siblings Msgr. Clinton Doskey and Elsie McCarthy. Jimmy was a devout Catholic and music lover, and enjoyed a long career at the Chateau De Notre Dame nursing home. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes School in New Orleans before moving on to St. Joseph’s Abbey in St. Benedict, LA. and ultimately Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday, November 28th beginning at 10:00 am followed with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124.
