James Henry Murphy

James Henry Murphy passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the beloved husband of the late La-Von Ancar Murphy; father of Jeanette Murphy.Grandfather of Lindsey Beard, Kimberly Beard, Austin Sonnier, Sloane Nunez and Terryn Nunez. Son of the late George Washinton Murphy and Josephine Laurent Murphy, brother of Margaret, Shirley, Helen,Thomas, Roy and George W. Murphy, Jr.

Age 63 a native of New Orleans and a long time Chalmette resident. He was a retired Security Guard.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a funeral service in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm until service time. Interment will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 10:00 Am in St. Roch No.2 Cemetery.
