James L Toca III

James L. Toca III passed away on September 5th, 2013 at his home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren at the age of 89. He was married to Jean Lafaye Toca for 62 years. J.L. was predeceased by his parents James L. Toca Jr. and Louise Garic as well as his grandchildren Mark Schindler, Scott Schindler, and Patrick Toca. He is survived by his five children; Anne Prat (Mike), Michelle Landry (Wally), Gary Toca, Jeannie Schindler (Mark) and Lizette Toca Clark. J.L. is survived by 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

He was a proud graduate of St. Aloysius High School and Loyola University.

He served on a ship in the Philippines during WWII. J.L. was a well respected insurance agent in the greater New Orleans area. He operated his own agency almost 60 years and was still active in the field until he passed away. A special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church on Monday September 9 at 11am. Visitation will begin at 10am and continue until Mass time. Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
