Jason Matthew Delay

Jason Matthew Delay, age 48, entered into the hands of the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. He was a loved as a son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, as well as a loving compassionate friend to many more. Jason was born as the first son to the loving arms of his beautiful mother, Dorothy Thibodeaux Pleasant and John Delay on July 6, 1963 at Touro Hospital. He was the grandson of the late Matthew Thibodeaux and the late Mary Yolande Jones. With the love and nurturing of his mother, Jason became a strong and confident young man who believed in hard work. He shared his mother’s love with his brothers, David Nathaniel Delay and Thaddeus Paul Delay. He was a graduate of John McDonogh High School and earned a degree in electronics from New Orleans Regional Technical Institute. He was a dedicated employee of Xerox Corporation for many years before his relocation caused by Hurricane Katrina to a new career with Stratix Corporation in Atlanta, GA. Jason grew into the man we all loved and bore two beautiful surviving children one daughter and one son, the lovely Adriah Domique Delay and his namesake, Jason M. Webb. He is survived by the greatest love of his life, his granddaughter, Ava Audrey Williams, who is the daughter of Adriah Domique Delay and Nicholas Williams. He leaves behind two nieces, Lia Catherine Delay and Rachael Lejuene Ramos. He has a great niece and a great nephew, Saniyah Delay and Jonathan Delay. Jason was an avid Saints fan and he will always be missed by all who loved and knew him for the great cheerful, loving and kind man that God created him to be.

Relatives and friends are invited for visitation at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA on Sunday, June 3, 2012 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.
