Joy Aveton Luquet

Joy Aveton Luquet, at 78 years old, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012. Wife of the late Elden R. Luquet, Sr. Loving mother of Elden R. Luquet (wife Christy Ellis Luquet), Karen L. Hendry (husband Jack Hendry), and Joni Luquet. Daughter of the late Leona and John Aveton. Sister of Joan A. Hartmann and Jean Villavicencio. Sister-in-law of Joycelyn and Donald “Cotton” Caravella. Grandmother of Jamie Westbrook, Jennifer and Zack Burks, Jessica Alexander and Omar, Alicia and Joey Hord, Bryan Lambert, father of Alicia. Great grandmother of Buddy, Allie, Gracie, RyLee and Kayden. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a resident of St. Bernard Parish and currently resided in Picayune, MS. She was a graduate of John McDonough High School Class of 1952, worked at Whitney Bank for many years, and retired from working for Pediatrician Office of Harold York, MD.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans on Monday, November 19, 2012 between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. with a Catholic Prayer Service at 7:30 P.M.
