Juanita Ida Hedrick

Juanita Ida Delaney Hedrick passed away quietly at the Chateau de Notre Dame on Tuesday, May 21 at 11:30 a.m. Daughter of the late William Eugene Delaney and Marie Isabelle Huguenot. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Matthew J. Hedrick, Sr., and step-brother, Elwood Gall. Survived by her children, Matthew, Jr. (Sally), Msgr. Kenneth, Jerome (Beth), Dee Collura, Dr. Gregory (Mary), nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Violet Gall.

Owner of Hed-Aba Party Shop. A member of the Fun Club (Our Lady of Good Counsel School), American Business Women’s Association, Louisiana Women for Education, St. Rita Silver Trotters, St. Angela Merici Senior Citizens, East Jefferson Golden Agers, Krewe of Helios and the Krewe of Iris. Juanita is renowned for the enjoyable trips she planned, her gracious hospitality, her love for Mardi Gras and excellent cooking.

The family expresses gratitude to Archbishop Gregory Aymond, the staff of the Chateau de Notre Dame and Notre Dame Hospice. Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Angela Merici Church, 901 Beverly Garden Dr., Metairie, LA on Tuesday, May 28 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation in church from 11:00 a.m. that morning.
