Kate Gouedy Ernst, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, passed away on July 30, 2013 at the age of 86. Kate was a portrait artist on Jackson Square for 30 years, working under the name Kate G. She has no idea how much she will be missed by family, friends and the people she has met. For fifty years, she was the wife of Alvin L. Ernst, up until his death in 2007. She was mother to the late Patrick J. Ernst and to Michael R. Ernst (Claire,) Mumsy to Brian, Lauren, and Maximilian Ernst and Great Mumsy to Leah and Nolan.
A Memorial Service will be held at Schoen Funeral Home at 3827 Canal Street, Saturday August 17th from 10-1 with a small reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, keep your money and do something nice for someone or pet a cat.
