Louis L.J Joseph Griener Jr.

Louis Joseph (L.J) Griener, a native and resident of New Orleans passed away on Sunday Morning November 4, 2012 at the age of 58 at Touro Infirmary. He was born to Louis (Gep) Griener and Verna Sutherland Griener on January 5, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents. L.J. was a graduate of Brother Martin High School and the University of Louisiana with a degree in accounting. He was employed as an accountant at H&R Block in New Orleans. He is survived by his children, Victoria Griener Hutson (David) and Jonathan Griener, his sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Griener, Kathleen Griener Bourgeois (Tommy), Carolyn Griener (Ricky Turner), niece and nephew, Casey and Scott Rahaley, and his very close friend, Chad Billiot. He loved the New Orleans Saints, Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras and his beloved cats. He was fun loving and caring and will be missed by many. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass of Christian Burial at the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, at 12:00 noon on Thursday November the 8th, 2012.
