Marianne Phillips Bertucci-Lockard

Marianne Phillips Bertucci-Lockard, lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the age of 48. She was the beloved mother of Ramon John Lewis Bertucci, Mother-in-Law of Stacie Bertucci and the wife of Emmitt Scott Lockard, Jr. She was also the sister of Brett Phillips, Louis Phillips, sister-in-law of Cindy Guttuso Phillips, Alberta Lockard-Britton and Debra Lockard; Aunt of Louis Phillips, Jr., Emily Phillips, Andrew Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Deirdre Moseley, Tracie Britton, Jessica Johnson and Darren Foster . She was also the niece of Yvonne Phillips Sammartino. Marianne was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Theckla Phillips, her sisters Ann and Rhonda Phillips, her paternal grandparents, Louis and Josephine Phillips, her maternal grandparents Joseph and Anita Hallal. Marianne received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development from Delgado Community College. The family would like to thank the entire staff at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital and Penn Hospice in Philadelphia, PA where she received excellent medical care and loving kindness for which we will always be grateful.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sea Catholic Church 1835 Saint Roch Ave. New Orleans, LA. On Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10:00am. Visitation will begin at 8:00 am until Mass begins at the church. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
