

Marion Anne McIntosh, a retired teacher, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the age of 80. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Thomas B. McIntosh III (Chris), Jean M. Kuhn (Kenny), Mary K. Pretus, and Terry L. McIntosh, all of the New Orleans area; Susan M. Housel (David) of Auburn, AL, Jerold S. McIntosh, Jr. (Linda) and John B. McIntosh (Susan) of Birmingham, AL, and Thomas Christopher McIntosh (Pam) of Biloxi, MS. She is also survived by numerous grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas B. McIntosh, Sr. and Annie Dickson McIntosh, and two brothers, Thomas B. McIntosh, Jr. and Jerold S. McIntosh, Sr.
Anne was a native of Gulfport, MS and a resident of New Orleans for over 70 years. She was a graduate of Eleanor McMain High School and Newcomb College where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She taught kindergarten for many years at Sherwood Forest Elementary School and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, New Orleans Retired Teachers Association, Poydras Home Auxiliary, and Lakeview Presbyterian Church.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Chapel Service at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA, on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 7:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 5:00 PM. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport, MS following a Chapel Service at Riemann Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
