Michael Joseph O' Neill Sr.

Michael Joseph O’Neill, Sr. passed away suddenly at his residence in Slidell on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the age of 55. Born in New Orleans, he was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. Michael was a New Orleans Firefighter and Wallace C. Drennan Foreman. He received numerous Medals and Certificates of Commendation from the New Orleans Fire Department.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Beba O’Neill, his parents, Elden and Joan Kern O’Neill; sons, Michael Joseph O’Neill, Jr., and Sean Patrick O’Neill and his wife Heather and their daughter Zoe; daughter Megan Leigh O’Neill; a brother, Patrick O’Neill and his wife, Diane; sisters, Melanie O’Neill Whitlock and her husband, Paul; and Kaye O’Neill Stirling and her husband Al; in laws, Henry and Rochelle Beba, Kathy Beba Keating and her husband Chet, Lee Beba and his wife Lisa, Keith Beba and his wife, Tammy, and Kristine Beba Murkowski and her husband David.

Visitation will be held at Schoen Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and resume on Tuesday, December 17 at 10:00 am until the celebration of the Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon by Rev. Msgr. Earl Gauthreaux. The family invites everyone to participate in the NOFD Fires Service Procession to Firehouse 7. Grave side services will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
