Philip Anthony Gioiello

Philip A. Gioiello of Kenner, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the age of 72 at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, Louisiana. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Mary Gioiello; son Philip J. Gioiello and his wife Susie Gioiello and daughter Tammy Sullwold also survived by his two granddaughters Alyssa and Samantha Gioiello ; his brother Joseph Gioiello and his wife Brenda Gioiello. He was preceded in death by his parents Gabriel and Florence Gioiello;a grand daughter Kimberleith M. Gioiello; sister Frances Schambra, Christina Gioiello,Florence Reilding, Carmella Crosby, Helen Kelly, Gloria Landreneaw and a brother Gabriel Gioiello. Philip was a kind hearted man who put his family above his own need and would give the shirt off his own back to help a stranger. He will be loved and missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Relatives and friends of the family are welcome to attend a funeral service in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 5:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm until service time. Condolences may be expressed online at www.schoencanalstreet.com.
