Robert Anthony Huxen

Robert Anthony Huxen was born September 3, 1925 in New Orleans to the late John J. and Elizabeth M. Huxen and passed away February 28, 2012 at the age of 86. The beloved husband of Dorothy Forest Huxen, he is also survived by four daughters, Linda Carroll (Larry), Libby Kapinus (Edwin), Barbara Huxen-Douglas, Dorothy Ziglar (Barry), 8 grandchildren, Tessie Martin, Nicholas Carroll, Amanda Ziglar, Mindy Dugas, Timothy Dugas, Matthew Carroll, Lauren Kapinus, Allison Kapinus and 7 great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his grandchildren Larry Carroll, Jr. and Kenneth Carroll. His is survived by one sister, Marilyn Adams and preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.He was a 32nd degree Mason and Past Master of the Isis Masonic Lodge and also a Shriner. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during W.W. II.

Relatives, friends of the family and members of the Masonic Temple are invited to attend a funeral service in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 1:00 pm.
