Rosemary Augustine Favre

Rosemary A. Favre, a retired teacher’s assistant, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the age of 85. She was a native of New Orleans and graduated from Mc Donogh #35 High School. Prior to becoming a teacher’s assistant in Orleans Parish Public Schools, she was a professional seamstress at Haspel Brothers and other clothing stores in New Orleans. She was a very active member of Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church Parish for many years until Hurricane Katrina relocated her to Saint Victor Parish in San Jose, California. She is survived by her son Raymond M. Fritz of San Jose, Ca; her grandsons Dorjan and Derek Fritz of San Jose, Ca; her great-grandchildren Daria and Dorjan Fritz of San Jose; her sisters BeverlyAnn Favre of Los Angeles, CA and Joan Holston of San Jose, Ca; her brother Anthony (Beverly) Favre of New Orleans, LA. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Ms. Favre was preceded in death by her mother Cecilia Milanes Favre, her father Joseph J Favre, her sisters Milirain, Marlene and Carmel Favre and Josie Barnes, her brother Joseph Louis Favre, her brother-in-law Henry Holston and her nephew Stephen Anthony Favre. Relatives and friends of the family, alumni and staff of St Augustine High School; employees of Terayon Inc., LA Secretary of State , SUNO, & Dr. M.L. King, Jr Charter School; members Union Bethel AME Church; members of the Board of Directors of both Visual Edge Technology, Inc. & The YWCA of New Orleans; members of Rho Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and New Orleans Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Corpus Christi-Epiphany Catholic Church, 2022 St Bernard Avenue, on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation 9:30 – 10:45am. Interment will be in St. Louis #3 Cemetery, 3421 Esplanade Avenue. Repast will be at Crystal Palace, 10020 Chef Menteur Highway.
