Roy Joseph Wheeler, age 67 passed away March 16, 2012 after a long illness. Roy was a native and long time residence of New Orleans; born to Anna Inez Matranga Wheeler and Woellner Royer Wheeler. He is survived by his two beloved children, Celeste Wheeler and Peter Wheeler and his caregiver and guardian, Cynthia Wheeler his cherished grandchildren, Josh, Kaitlyn and Morgan, also his sister, Kathleen Wheeler Valenti, his uncle, “HB” Wheeler and numerous cousins. Family and friends are invited to the visitation Thursday, March 22nd beginning at 11:30 am followed by Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon in the chapel at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans.
