Thelma Blasini Giardina

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Michel Ernest Giardina; her brothers Sylvester, Charles and Albert Blasini, and her sister Norma Blasini Larriviere. Devoted mother of Michel Ernest Giardina Jr. (Cheryl), and Dr. Ronald Joseph Giardina Sr. (Carol). Survived by her seven grandchildren: Michele, Tonja, and Justin Giardina and Jamie Giardina Daniels (Richard), also Mary, Ronald Jr. and Michael Giardina (Lynsey). Great grandchildren: Elizabeth,Thomas, Tiana, Pralinh, Kristian, Nia, and Jonathan. She is also survived by her sister Marie B. Jezewski.

Thelma was born in New Orleans, LA on November 17, 1914, was a life-long resident of the city and attended Saint Joseph Academy. She was a member of the Saint Lucy Society and attended St. Maria Goretti Church. She possessed a deep faith and love for God and family. She was a kind, loving, generous Christian woman who treasured her family. Thelma traveled extensively, and was a member of several clubs. She enjoyed a long healthy life, was fun loving, energetic and an inspiration to all. Thelma is dearly loved and will remain in our hearts always.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a funeral service from the New Orleans Home of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal St. at N. Scott; on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow in St. Louis #3 Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.schoencanalstreet.com
