Virginia Lee Weathers LaMarca

Virginia Lee Weathers LaMarca, age 87, passed away peacefully Friday, May 6, 2011 at River Region Hospice. A native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie, LA for the past 52 years. She retired from the Jefferson Orleans South at age 80. Daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Weathers, beloved wife of the late Joseph M. LaMarca, sister of the late Gertrude L. Weathers. Mother of Michael G. LaMarca (Linda), Sandra LaMarca Constantine (late Bob), Pamela LaMarca Radosta (Dale). Survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. She was dedicated to her family, friends, Metairie Evangelical Church, and the New Orleans Saints. She enjoyed life to its fullest, was always ready for a road trip, and always ready to go out to eat. The family would like to thank the staff of the 4th floor at Lakeview Regional and the staff at River Region Hospice for their care, respect, and compassion. Visitation will be held at JACOB SCHOEN & SONS FUNERAL HOME on May 10, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Cypress Grove Cemetery.
