

Wayne Thomas Gonzales died at his home on December 16th at the age of 78. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA since 2005. Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Rhea Naquin Gonzales. Father of Lisa G. Tuten (Chris) and Michael T. Gonzales (Vanessa), brother of Max Gonzales, Jr. (Colleen). He was preceded in death by Max J. Gonzales, Sr. (Father) and Inez Roberts Gonzales (Mother). He was a graduate of Warren Easton High School and attended Tulane University. He was a Veteran of the Armed Forces. He retired from South Central Bell/BellSouth after 46 years where he was a Communications Consultant for the Federal Government in Louisiana and Mississippi.
He was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Baton Rouge. He was a volunteer coach for baseball and basketball teams in the NORD system. He was a member of the former Bell Ringers Golf Club and the Thebian Fraternity.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 1:00 pm. The visitation will begin at 9:30 am and continue until service time. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
