

William Cunningham Corban passed away at his Slidell, LA residence on June 28, 2013, at the age of 93 years. He was born on May 25, 1920 in Fayette, Mississippi. Beloved husband of Elsie Mae Hausknecht Corban of 61 years. Bill was a graduate of Missississippi State University. He retired from the Treasury Department Intelligence Division, Criminal Investigation Division with 26 years of Service. He was a veteran of World War II, Where he served in the pacific as a Technical Sergeant 873Rd Bombardment Squadron. He authored a book on genealogy, titled Corban Copies. Genealogy has been a passionate hobby of his for many years. He is the son of the late Marvin Whitefield Corban and Bessie Beam Corban. The youngest of 12 children. He is survived by two nieces Kitty Harris and Cecelia Hossley Milner and two nephews Johnny Green and Don Corban.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 12:00 pm.
