Jesse “Jim” James Walker, age 86, of New Plymouth died at home June 27, 2018 with his wife of 62 years at his side. Graveside services will be at Rosedale Memorial Gardens, 10350 N Iowa Ave., Payette, ID Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Ron Rasmussen will conduct. Jim was born May 3, 1932 in Bonanza, OR to Vernon and Mary Walker. Jim attended school in Burns, OR, served honorably in the US Army, and spent his life ranching. He married Virginia Campbell on June 1, 1956 they had three children-Rosemary, Jay & Jason. In later years after selling their ranch they went to work for the county road crew part-time; allowing them to spend 16 winters in AZ, summers at their place in Donnelly and their home in New Plymouth. Jim officially retired from the county at age 80.
Jim is survived by his wife Virginia, children; Rosemary (Gary) Scheihing of New Plymouth, ID and Jason Walker of Puyallup, WA., 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and brother Dan Walker of Council, ID. He was preceded in death by son Jesse Jay Walker, five brothers and one sister. Jim was a devout member of the Church of Christ.
