Karen Jean Peterson

Karen Jean Peterson was born September 24, 1942 in Weiser, Idaho to Larry and Helen (Derrick) Carpenter. She attended school in New Plymouth, where she met her husband Larry Peterson. They were married September 23, 1959 and construction life took them all over the western United States.

She was a loving wife and a caring mother to her four sons and two daughters. Karen devoted her life to children, hers and many others. Her volunteer work at New Plymouth elementary school was a very important to her.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother Don, sister Gerry, her oldest son Michael, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is survived by her sister Nita and brother-in-law Tom Stephens and their family, her sons Rick, Greg, and James, her daughters Becky and Brandi, and seven grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kristee Pattee. Kristee's love and dedication to Karen, Larry and the entire family has been a blessing.

A Graveside service was held on Thursday, January 25th at Park View Cemetery, New Plymouth.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to your family during this difficult time. I hope the promise in 1Thessalonians 4:14 can bring much comfort. Just knowing that theres a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
