Sara Margaret Watkins Clinton

February 28, 1970November 13, 2012

Sara Margaret (Watkins) Clinton, 42, of New Plymouth, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 19th at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. Private interment will be at Glenn Rest Cemetery, Glenns Ferry, ID. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, New Plymouth. Condolences may be made to Sara’s family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com.

Sara was born Feb. 28, 1970 in Valparaiso, FL on Eglin Air Force Base. Always a bubbly, outgoing child, she lived in Niceville, FL, Denver, CO, Miami, FL, Incirlik, Turkey, Mountain Home, Hammett, Boise, Moscow, Nampa and finally New Plymouth, ID, and she made loyal, loving friends wherever she lived. Sara graduated from Glenns Ferry High School in 1988 and from the University of Idaho in Dec. 1992 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She was fortunate to have several jobs she enjoyed but working with the children in the New Plymouth elementary and middle schools was a particular favorite. Sara was currently working at the Internet Truckstop in New Plymouth (if she could talk on the phone – she was happy) and where she also made good friends. An avid marksman she enjoyed shooting and the competition at Shoot for the Cure was where she had the opportunity to outshine her Dad.

She is survived by her son, Gunnar Clinton, parents, John and Lynne Watkins of Hammett, grandfather, uncles, aunts, and a multitude of cousins – all who love her and will truly miss her.

Memorials may be made to the Gunnar Clinton Donation Account, c/o Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, P.O. Box 730, Payette, ID 83661.

I was so shocked to hear of Sara's passing. I did not know she had been ill. We worked together at Sears Credit Card Operations Center in Boise many years ago. Though I have not spoken to her in quite awhile, I have always had her in my thoughts and in my heart. We will meet again, my dear friend, we have much to catch up on. My prayers go out to the family and the precious boy she had to leave behind.

We're gonna miss you Sara. Was great to see you in such good spirits before you went to heaven. He likes to see a smiling face when you get THERE. There is no doubt your family is very proud of you and what you've accomplished in your life. Your son is probably the the proudest of them all. God Bless you and your family Sara. We love you!

Sara and I were friends in High School. She had such a wonderful and outgoing personality. She was liked and loved by all whom she came in contact with. Sara will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this time of sorrow.

I was so sad to hear of Sara' passing. Did you know my parent's and I had renamed her Sara Hammett while we were at UI. All my memories of her involve laughing. She was a fantastic friend while we were in Moscow and Boise together. My mom and were laughing tonight about her making her hold her pet goldfish all the way home from Moscow. We just about lost the fish in Cambridge when Sara took the curve too fast. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Go Vandals! Love, Wendy Swenson Stansell

I am so so sorry for you loss. Sara, I will continue to pray for you, Gunnar and the rest of your family. You are an angel now and can watch over us from above. I hope we can make you smile. I miss you and love you. Sara was a good friend and I cannot really believe she is gone. I remember when she was pregnant with Gunnar and after she had him what a great mom she was to him then and as he matured. I remember the good times we had camping at Silver Creek when Gunnar was a baby and then at Rammage Meadows for hunting trips. We had so many good memories and used to laugh so hard we cried because the two of us couldn't figure out something simple. We had crazy all day shopping trips for beads in every craft store in Boise. Or dragging all the clothes out of the closet to try and find what she would take on the trip back east for Marisa's wedding. The last text she sent me was, "I know it's kinda late but do u wanna come over and visit?"...I wish I could have gone and now it is too late. I will remember her every time I use my netbook or do any crafts that we used to do together. She will be forever in my heart and I will do anything I can for Gunnar because his and my special friendship.
You were a loving mother, great friend and inspiration to those around you. I will miss you my friend.
