Exantus Desir

Exantus Desir of Mt. Vernon passed away August 31, 2012. He was 75 years old. Born in Haiti on April 10, 1937 he was son of Mondesir & Angela Desir. He worked in the maintenance department of the Sarah Nueman Nursing Home for over 35 years retiring in 2002. Exantus loved people watching and enjoyed that while taking a rest from playing the casino’s and lotto. He is survived by his devoted wife Natalie, beloved children Yolette (Philippee), Frantz (Marjorie), Tony (Ernestine), Imene (Joel), Chantal (Harold), Wilbert (Marlene), Astrel (Gertrude) and Angela, loving brothers Andre Joseph, Geerd & Pierre, 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was also predeceased by both a brother and sister. Visiting will be on Friday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 pm with a 9:30 a.m. mass on Saturday, Sacred Heart Church, Mt. Vernon. Interment Beechwood’s cemetery.
