Mr. Irving Tanen of the Bronx and former New Rochelle business owner passed away Thursday May 31, 2012. He was 100 years old. Irving was born August 14, 1911 in the Bronx and was the son of David and Ida Tanen. He owned and operated a laundry business in New Rochelle for many years. He is predeceased by his wife Miriam and is survived by children Jerry Tanen and Dorothy Culpon. He was the loving grandfather of Michael Culpon, Susan Hackney, Lori Sigler, Carolyn Tanen, Deborah Dutko and Michael Tanen and a great grandfather of 8. Irving was the brother of Lillian Portnoy who survives him and was predeceased by Nathan. A graveside service will be held on Monday June 4, 2012 in the Sharon Gardens Cemetery, Valhalla, New York.
