

Martin P. Loughlin, age 76, of Katonah, NY went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Martin was born in Manhattan on Oct. 24, 1937 to the late Thomas P. Loughlin and Mary (O’Neill) Loughlin. A graduate of Manhattan College and Stevens Institute of Technology, Marty was employed for 32 years by IBM at the Thomas J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.
He married Mary Ann Callahan on April 4, 1964. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann, 2 loving children Thomas of Sea Girt, NJ and Eileen of Bedford, NY, daughter-in-law Lori, as well as, 6 cherished grandchildren: Brooke, Kate, Patrick, Eileen A., Justin and Michael.
Marty was an active member in his community for many years, serving several roles in the Katonah Fire Department and the Knights of Columbus. He was Former District Master of the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of the Sisqua Council 1852. Marty share his love of baseball with the community as a baseball coach in several youth leagues. Marty was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Katonah, where he served as an usher. He will be remembered for his commitment to the service of his community and as a loving friend, husband, father and grandfather.
A funeral mass will be held for Marty at St. Mary’s Church 117 Valley Road Katonah, NY on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Internment of his ashes will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are asked to make a donation to: Northern Westchester & Putnam
