Rocco Bombace

Rocco Bombace a life time New Rochelle resident passed away Friday, April 8, 2011. He was 94 years old. Born on January 1, 1917 in New Rochelle he was the son of John and Marianna Bombace. Rocco was the owner of the Bombace Company in New Rochelle and retired in 1987. The company was founded by his father in 1886 and was the third business to be established in the city. He was predeceased by his first wife Ann and his 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Rocco was an avid golf player and had the distinction of making a hole in one at the age of 85. He received great pleasure by spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Townley Bombace, devoted daughter Joann Fraioli, loving grandchildren Dina, Lauren and Jill, one great grand daughter, six great grand sons and five step grandchildren. Visiting will be on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 12:30 p.m. mass on Monday at the Holy Name of Jesus Church. Interment in the Beechwood’s Cemetery.
