Aileen Lane Standifer Craft was born August 20, 1931 in Tazewell, TN and passed away peacefully in her home on October 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents: William Glen and Stella Baker Lane; siblings, Alta Lane Lare; Vergie Lane Stewart; Glen "Joe" Lane and Madge Lane Susong and two former spouses Frank Mabe and Joe Standifer. Aileen served as County Court Clerk for 27 years. During her tenure she served faithfully and treated everyone with the greatest respect as if they were family. She owned the local radio station WNTT. She enjoyed providing news and entertainment to her neighbors. Her unique announcing style was a staple in every household in Claiborne County. She enjoyed gardening and sharing the vegetables with neighbors and friends. She loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. She was always known for her caring, loving and giving spirit.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Claude Craft
Son: Philip Mabe
Siblings: Doyle Lane, Roy Lane, John Lane and Betsy Lane.
Step-Children: Philip Craft (Sandy), Steve Craft, Judy Reynolds (Gene) and Kay Roark
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Special Caregivers and Nurses of Smokey Mountain Hospice.
The family will receive friends on October 7, 2018 from1 pm until 3 pm at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with services at 3 P.M. Burial to follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Tazewell, TN
