She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev Issac (Ike) Harvey, her parents: Herbert and Lucy Gibson, Sister and Brother-in-Law: Pauline and Ford Mallicoat, Brother and Sister-in-Law: Otis and Juanita Gibson and Brother: Hollis Gibson.
She is survived by her Sister and Brother-in-Law: Mary Maggaline and LeRoy Brooks, Sister-in Law: Dorothy Gibson, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
While she never had children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She loved the Lord with her whole heart, having been saved at an early age at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to Brooks Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, faithful while her health allowed.
She enjoyed singing, listening to gospel music and talking to her family members on the phone. She was full of life, always enjoying a good laugh and looked forward to Christmas nearly year round.
Receiving of Friends will be Monday, October 28 from 5 to 7 pm at Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell, TN. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel.
Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, October 29 at 11 am in the Liberty Cemetery in Tazewell, TN.
