Barry Mckinnon

Barry Wayne McKinnon, age 76, of New Tazewell, Tn., was born April 14, 1934, passed away Jan. 7, 2011 at Claiborne County Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, H.L. and Jewell McKinnon and brother, John McKinnon. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay; sons, Michael and wife, Rhonda and Martin and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Brandon (Ginger), Ryan (Nikki) and Jordan McKinnon, Lauren, Andrew and Evan McKinnon; great grandchildren, Savanna Grace and William Michael McKinnon. Barry was a graduate of the University of Tennessee where he played basketball and captained the golf team; he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity; retired from McMurray Daly Insurance Agency; an avid golfer and an active member of New Tazewell United Methodist Church. Celebration of Life service will be held at the New Tazewell United Methodist Church at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday January 12, 2011.
