Billy Michael Johnson

Bill was saved as a young man at Eastwood Baptist Church in Morristown and was a faithful member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Thorn Hill.

He was preceded in death by his Mom (grandmother) Nancy Johnson of Sneedville; father, George Waddell of Tazewell; mother, Lorene Waddell of Morristown; and sister, Rita Johnson of Morristown.

Bill is survived by his wife of over 23 years, Sabra Farmer Johnson of Thorn Hill; brothers, Rufus (Gina) Johnson of Morristown, Terry Waddell of Bulls Gap, Ronnie Waddell of Bulls Gap, and Raymond (Rhonda) Johnson of Bulls Gap; sister, Tracy Bussell of Knoxville; children, April Graham of Morristown, Michael Pearson of Morristown, Shane Pearson of Bean Station and Brent Hickey of Sneedville; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Edna Farmer of Thorn Hill; special great-niece who was like a daughter to him, Paisley Brooks of Church Hill; beloved fur babies- Honey, Gracie, and Rainey; as well as several nieces, nephews, church family at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, and friends.

Bill loved the Lord and was heard praising Him many times in the days before his passing. He always said, "I didn't choose God. He chose me."

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church in Thorn Hill. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the Johnson-Snead Family Cemetery at 4062 Hwy 131, Thorn Hill, TN.
