Dr. Charles Earl Hudson, age 65 of Knoxville, TN passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. A graduate of Central High School, Knoxville and Samford University School of Pharmacy. Charles was the owner/operator of Union Discount Pharmacy. He was a dedicated husband and father who rarely missed a University of Tennessee Football/Basketball game and was the personal owner of Smokey X, the UT Mascot. He proudly grew up at Alice Bell Baptist Church and was a member of Central Baptist Church Fountain City. Preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Earl and Martha Hudson.
Charles is survived by his wife: Cindy and Children: Samuel and Katherine
Sisters: Nancy Hudson, Jane Trusley, and Helen Boring
Brother: John Hudson (Andrea)
Stepmother: Bernice Hudson
And a host of nieces and nephews
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Saturday March 24, 2018 at Rose Mortuary on Broadway in Knoxville with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Saturday at Rose Mortuary. Burial will be Sunday March 25, 2018 in the Fairview Cemetery at 2:00 P.M.
