Debra Ann Hertz

She was born February 25, 1958, in Kankakee, the daughter of Art and Charlene Duffield. On August 25, 1979, she married Kenneth Hertz Jr. in Kankakee. She retired from Riverside after 28 years of service. She was a member of the New Tazewell Christian Church. Debra enjoyed reading, auctions, and decorating. Most of all she loved spoiling her grandchildren and her dog, Gracie.

Debra is survived by her sons, Chuck (Widya) Hertz and Wes (Arielle) Hertz; three grandchildren, Brodie, Lillie, and Dylan Hertz; brothers, Kenneth (Karen) Duffield and Doug (Tanya) Swinford; sisters-in-law, Christina (Larry) Cheffer and Kathleen McComb.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hertz Jr.; father, Art Duffield; mother, Charlene Swinford; siblings, Jeff Duffield and Donna Swinford.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon at Jensen Funeral Home, Kankakee. Burial will immediately follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Kankakee County Humane Society.
