Doris Brooks, age 90, of New Tazewell, Tennessee was born April 14, 1931 and passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Doris was a leader in starting the church in the local area. Doris owned & operated Factory Outlet Fabric Shop. She loved working in her flower garden. She was a helping hand to her family and friends. But, most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Brooks; father & mother, Charles and Birdie Mayes England; son, Terry Lynn Brooks and her brothers, Dwight, Eugene, and Kenneth England.
She is survived by her Children: Diana "Sissy" Harris (Lain); Kathy Dooley (Mark); David Brooks;
Grandchildren: Scotty Brooks (Donna); Bradley Brooks, Jerad Hurst (Gloria); Edward Dooley (Alex); Amanda Griffin (Eric); Lucas Dooley (Donna); Megan Brooks;
several great grandchildren;
brother Wayne England;
Special caregiver and best friend: Barbara Gibbs;
several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A vistation for Doris will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be Thursday, September 23, 2021at 2:00 P.M. Graveside service to follow Thursday, September 23, 2021 in the Fairview Cemetery.
