Born January 20th 1950, departed to our Lord above on October 27, 2021 at the age of 71.
After years of extensive health ailments and battling cancer, Eddy passed peacefully from Covid complications at Parkwest Medical Center with his wife and daughter, Madaline and Thelma; by his side, holding his hands.
Born and raised in Speedwell, TN. Eddy was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Geraldine Moyers and sister Dorothy Ford.
He is survived by his wife Madaline Moyers. Children Thelma Bryant, Lisa Baker, Melissa Gibbs, and David Kessinger. Grandchildren Jennifer, Mark, Matthew, Johnathan, Thomas, Alexis, Andrew, Noah, and Atlas. Brothers and sisters Alan, Carolyn, Betty, Marvin, Mike, Dennis, and Mitchell.
Eddy's girls will be wearing green at the service to honor and remember Eddy and the good memories. Green was his favorite color.
He was an honorable Army Veteran; and was medically retired from U.S. Steel as a Class A Millwright and foreman, after 44 years. Eddy also earned a degree in theology of the bible. Eddy was a devoted Christian and loved his family. He spent his spare time reading the bible and studying scripture as well as preaching the good word to others.
He is the patriarch of this family, the most humble man, and the best advice giver.
Eddy always put others needs before his. He is well loved and will be missed by all.
Eddy's light will shine through and in his words, "Remember to always be kind."
The family will receive friends Sunday October 31st from 11 AM until 1 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will follow in Irish Memorial Garden with full military honors.
