

Elizabeth “Beth” Coward Bull, age 93, of Tazewell, passed away January 4, 2016, at Tennova Residential Hospice in Knoxville, TN. She was a member of Howerton’s Baptist Church. She was born May 18, 1922, in Roane County, Beth was valedictorian and played basketball at Oliver Springs High School. She worked at the Harriman Hosiery Mill and on the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge during WWII, before marrying Charlie Dean Bull on April 28, 1945, and moving to Claiborne County. Beth was sweet-natured, an avid reader, and loved doing genealogy research with her nephew, William Kegley. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister, Mary Coward, on Ederhostel trips.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Dean Bull; parents, Benjamin Wilson Coward and Maggie Etta Phillips Coward; brothers, Floyd Lee Coward and Ben Willard Coward; sisters, Lottie Irene Coward Kegley and Mary George Coward; and foster-brother, Joseph English.
She is survived by her Son: Jim Bull and wife Jane

Grandson: John Bull
Great Grandson: Derek Russell and wife, Mary Goyeau
Great-Great Grandson: Sebastian Russell

The family received friends on Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home. Burial and graveside services were held at Cunningham Cemetery on Friday, January 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m.
