Gary "Pete" W McDaniel

Pete was saved at an early age and was known for his love of the Lord which he demonstrated through his beautiful singing, powerful preaching of the gospel, and his love of his fellowman. In his younger years, he served as pastor at both Raven Hill Missionary Baptist Church and Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he led many people to the Lord. Pete was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and loved working with his hands.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dana and Novella McDaniel; sisters Betty (Thurman) Crawford and Sue (Randy) England; brother Kenneth (Jewel) McDaniel.

Pete is survived by his wife Brenda McDaniel; daughters Roxanne McDaniel, Tina (Chris) Goodman, and Christy Wallace; son Jason McDaniel; sister Gail (Stanley) Leonard; brother Lewis (Pauline) McDaniel; grandchildren Haley (Scott) Reid, Brooke (Josh) Thompson, Michalia (Davis) Fisher, Landon McGinnis, Olivia Wallace, and Ethan Gravely; great grandchildren Nolan Garland, Maeve Garland, Mac Fisher, Judson Fisher, Scottie Claire Fisher, and Maggie Thompson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

The family will have a celebration of life on Friday September 25, 2026, from 7 until 9 PM at Springdale Missionary Baptist Church.
