Gladys Marie Robinette

Originally from West Virginia, Gladys moved to New Tazewell in 2004. She was saved at an early age and was a member of Ajax Church of Lord Jesus Christ in Lenore, WV. Gladys was an avid tv watcher and loved to check in with everyone on the phone. She loved flowers, especially her roses and hydrangeas, and shopping. But her favorite moments were the ones spent with her family. She was a wonderful, loving mother and grandmother and every year she looked forward to seeing her whole family at the reunion.

Gladys was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Lynn; parents, Arthur and Magdalene White; husband, James Robinette; brothers, Rocky and Ira; sisters, Debra and Vicky; and a granddaughter, Gracie.

She is survived by her children, Ricky (Misty) Robinette, Samantha (Rodney) Smith, Eric (Rhiannon) Robinette; grandchildren, Alexandria, Lilly, Skyla, Chace, Rosalie, and Cyrus; brother and sisters, Arthur Jr., Elaine, and Carmelita; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 17th, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 PM.
