Henderson Buis “Sugar Daddy”, "Sugar Pop” age 87 of Tazewell, TN was born June 3, 1927 and left this earthly home on Monday November 17, 2014 at the Claiborne County Hospital surrounded by his loving family at his bedside. He was a wonderful husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle and friend to some but most of all he was one of God’s Children. He was a true, devoted God-Fearing prayer warrior and song- bird for the Lord. He was one of the original members of the gospel quartet, “The Tennessee Wanderers”. He had a spirit about him when he opened his mouth to sing that would uplift a bowed down head. He was well-known in the surrounding area and communities for his passion to serve God with all that he had inside himself. He was a member of Wallen Ridge Baptist Church but later joined Thornhill Baptist Church where he was an active member until his health declined in 2011. He worked at the Claiborne County Hospital in Housekeeping for 18 years and retired, but returned to clean the parking lot until his health declined. He was known as the humming and singing housekeeper at the hospital, always greeting you with a smile and Good-Morning. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pet Buis Sr. and Ollie Buis; sisters, Anna Mae and Rachel Buis and Gracie Lee Ford; brothers, Pet Buis, Jr. and Walter Edd Buis, one nephew Henry Ford.
