Hugh Kyle Singleton

Hugh Kyle Singleton, age 84, of Tazewell, Tennessee was born November 16, 1939 and passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. While at the hospital the staff was wonderful and took great care of Hugh.

During his life Hugh served his country in the Army, served his county as a commissioner, but what he was most proud of was serving his church as a Deacon. He was saved at an early age, around 7 or 8, at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time Hugh enjoyed woodworking, farming, hunting and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman. Hugh was a kind and helpful man who had never met a stranger or someone he wouldn't do his best to help out.

Hugh is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Ethel Singleton. Four brothers Everett Singleton, Joe Singleton, Bill Singleton, Norman Singleton. Nephew Tommy Singleton.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Nancy Singleton. Daughters Renee (Clarence) Miracle, Angie Weeks, Teresa (Bryan) Edds, and Amanda (Chad) Yeary. Son Travis Singleton. Grandchildren Elizabeth (Scott) Crocker, Rebecca (Devin) Miracle, Makayla Miracle, Hunter Hoskins, K.C. (Derek) Roberts, Brittany (Kenny) Harvey, Bethany (Makenley Barker) Thomas, Neal (Shelby Cunningham) Edds, Katie, Philip, Emma, Hailey, and Connor Singleton, Cole, Cody, Coby, and Kyle Yeary. Nine Great Grandchildren. Brother and Sisters. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Roger Seals for digging the grave.

The family will receive friends Wednesday February 28, 2024 from 5 until 9 PM at Raven Hill Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Thursday February 29, 2024 at 1 PM in the Raven Hill Missionary Baptist Church Chapel. A graveside service will follow in the Singleton Family Cemetery on Epperson Circle with military honors.
