James "Jamie" Barton

He was a beloved member of the community and everyone who knew him, loved him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Daisy Mae Barton, two brothers Leroy Richardson and Clarence "Peanut" Richardson, and nephew Dusty Collins.

He is survived by his brother Sam (Becky) Richardson, sisters Louise Collins, Athene Cheek, and Lucy Barton. His nieces Amanda Young and Makayla Barton, and nephews Chris Young, Joseph (Lucy) Barton, Terry Lynn Cheek, Sammy and Jeffrey Richardson, Danny and Michael Richardson. His stepchildren Dariane, Asia, and Hannah. As well as a host of great nieces and nephews.

He was also a proud member of the Clayton Giles family for many years.

The family will receive friends on Saturday April 4, 2026 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery.
