Pete was born in a one-room log cabin in Raven’s Ridge in Claiborne Co. on July 13, 1939, to William and Minnie Epperson. He was the 6th child to be born out of 7. Pete was raised up and grew to love the farming life and loved horses, which led him to meet the love of his life, Anita.
Pete knew something was missing in his life, and he began watching church online, and that’s when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized at home a short time after accepting Jesus into his heart. His departure leaves a void in the lives of his family, yet they find comfort in their broken hearts knowing that one day they will reunite in Heaven.
Pete was known for his strong will, unwavering determination, and dedication to his family. His everlasting presence will live in their memories. He carried many names: Peter Rabbit the Cotton Tail, Peter Pan, Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, Silver Fox, Dad, and Paw.
Pete enjoyed farming, trading and raising cattle, gardening, riding horses, breaking horses, wagon trains, rabbit, squirrel and fox hunting.
The ones who rejoiced at his homecoming are his precious son James Scott Epperson, Mom and Dad: William and Minnie Epperson. Brothers: Billy Jo Epperson, Thomas Edgar Epperson, Dale Epperson, Sammy Epperson, and twins Gale and Wales Epperson. Nieces: Tammy Savage and Sherry Greer
