James Weston Parkey

James W. Parkey age 78 of Tazewell, TN was born June 25, 1931 and passed away March 21, 2010 at the Claiborne County Nursing Home. He was a Deacon and Member of Wolfenbarger Chapel Baptist Church. He served on the Board of Directors for Hancock County Farmers Co-Op; Powell Valley Electric board and Tri-State Farmers Tobacco Co-Op. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Hattie Weston Parkey; former wife Betty Nunn Parkey. He is survived by his wife of 13 years: Birdie Ellis Parkey Son: James Allen Parkey Daughter: Rose Ann (Raymond) Caylor all of Tazewell, TN Grandchildren: Shaunda (Gary) Brooks and Derek Caylor Great Grandchildren: Grant Weston Brooks Step-Children: Jimmy Ellis, JR Kenneth Ellis both of Tazewell, TN Connie Ellis of Morristown, TN Steven Ellis of Tazewell, TN Adam Ellis of Morristown, TN Step Grandchildren: Amanda, Pamela, Brittan, Chris, James, Ashley and Angel Step-Great Grandchildren: K.C., Hannah, Brittany, Emily, Madison, Alex and Jayden and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 8:00 P.M. Tuesday March 23, 2010 in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday March 24, 2010 at the Parkey Family Cemetery. Ministers: Rev. Gary Fletcher and Rev.
