Jason Lynn Ayers was born February 4, 1974 and went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2023. He came to know the Lord as his Savior at an early age and was member of Brooks Memorial Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Jason was a skilled carpenter who could turn wood into furniture worthy of being called art. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved his wife and the time they spent together.
He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Ayers and nephew James Ayers Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years Carol (Brooks) Ayers, mother Mossie (Hatfield) Ayers of New Tazewell, TN, brothers James Ray Ayers of New Tazewell, TN and Kenneth (Donna) Ayers of Morristown, TN, sisters Barbara (Clyde) Atkins of New Tazewell, TN and Shelia Ramsey of Rutledge, TN. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many loved ones.
The family will receive friends on March 7, 2023 from 5 to 7pm with funeral services to follow at 7pm in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will take place on March 8, 2023 at 1pm at Jones Cemetery in Ewing, VA. Those wishing to follow in procession may meet at the funeral home at 11:45am.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Jeremiah Day and Rev. KJ Zumbrum.
Music will be provided by Living Water.
Pallbearers will be Ray Ayers, Clyde Atkins, Chris Atkins, Elijah Earl, Eli Day, and Brayden Day
Honorary Pallbearers are his fellow deacons LeRoy Brooks, and Gary Brooks
