Joann Davis

Joann was saved August 13, 1973 and remained a faithful, devoted Christian throughout her life. She was a proud member of New Bethel Tabernacle. Joann had a deep love for gardening and took great joy in her flowers. She was also a wonderful cook who cherished preparing meals for her family. Above all, she loved her family dearly. She found her greatest joy in being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother—affectionately known as “Granny Granny”—and great-great-grandmother. Joann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Davis; her parents, Fred and Georgia Chittum; sisters, Claudia Bryant and Helen Winkler; and brothers, John Chittum and Lester Chittum.

Joann is survived by her children, Jerry (Sherry) Davis, Pam (Travis) Mozert, and Vicki (Johnny) Parker; grandchildren, Erin Lester, Haley (Lance) Petty, Angie Rosenbalm, Deven Mozert, LeeAnn Parker, and John (Aimee) Parker; great-grandchildren, Thomas (Kaylee) Lester, Isaac Lester, Colton Lester, Kason Petty, Brice Petty, Hunter Rosenbalm, Autumn Rosenbalm, Brady Rosenbalm, and Baylor Anne Parker; and great-great-grandchild, MacieAnne Davis Lester. She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy McBee, Gladys Keck, and Sarah Watson; her brother, Bob Chittum; her brother in law, Alva Davis along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care, especially Courtney, Rhiannon, Summer, Tanner, and volunteer Kathy.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Coffey Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Irish Memorial Gardens.
