John Howard Lester

John proudly served in the armed forces. He loved his grandchildren without measure and his favorite thing to do was watch them play sports. He was a wonderful grandfather, father and husband and thought the world of his family. He was loved by many and would help anyone he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lester and Eilene Hills, sister Michelle Ellison, brother Jimmy Lester, and infant brother.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Angie Lester. Children: Kristy (Ronald) Cason, Amber Lester, Cara (Johnny) Leonard, and Josh Ayers. Grandchildren: Briandale Lovin, Kaden Lovin, Emma Leandro, Abby Leonard, Olivia Leonard, Addyson Lester, Geneva Leonard, Payton Ayers, Taylyn Ayers, Gabe Cason, Toni Cason, and Bella Cason. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

A celebration of life will be on April 20, 2024 at 2 PM at the Veterans Memorial on top of Clinch Mountain.
