

Karen (Teigland) Lundberg passed away at home on December 2, 2024. Karen was born on November 5, 1942, to Elmer and Alvina Teigland in Shevlin, MN where she grew up in a large family with three brothers and two sisters. Karen grew up in Shevlin and attended Clearwater Lutheran Church and graduated from Bagley High School.
Karen married Bert Lundberg on November 25, 1967, in the Clearwater Lutheran Church in Shevlin, MN. They made their home in Wyoming, MN where they had three sons. Karen was a devoted wife and mother to Mark, Jim and Chad as well as many beloved dogs.
Karen loved cooking, reading books, and crocheting beautiful blankets. She worked as a hairdresser for many years and cooked at a local restaurant. After her husband Bert retired from the Ford Motor Company manufacturing facility in St. Paul, MN they relocated to Tazewell, TN where they have lived for over 25 years.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bert; sons Mark Lundberg of Tazewell, TN, James Lundberg of Finlayson, MN, and Chad (Traci) Lundberg of Sandstone, MN, sisters Annette Swanum of Tazewell, TN and Christie (Lowell Tangjerd) Teigland of Annapolis, MD. Three grandchildren Katey, Robert and Nicky.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Alvina, her brothers Gale “Red”, Richard “Richie” and Mardell “Boogen” Teigland.
Coffey Funeral Home in New Tazewell is providing cremation services. A memorial service is planned for a later date. Final resting place will be in the Clearwater Lutheran Church Cemetery near her father and mother.
