Ken was saved at an early age and was a member of Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church. After retiring from Magnavox, he loved to spend his free time in the woodshop building anything he could imagine. He loved to spend time with his family, taking pictures every chance he could sneak one by. He also greatly enjoyed piddling with his "goat" (GTO), even if it meant just popping the hood and staring at it. He loved to sit on Sissie's porch (Thelma) and watching the deer. Ken was always eager to lend a helping hand.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Tip and Lorene Payne. Brothers, Kyle Payne and Carl Payne. Sister, Thelma Ogan. Son, Andrew Payne.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Payne. Sons, Gary Payne, Mike Payne, and David Payne.
