Lee Roy Sutton

Lee Roy Sutton, age 76, of Sneedville, TN, was born December 21, 1947, and passed away April 4, 2024. Lee Roy was a member of Ida’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was saved during a revival and joined the church in December 1959.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dewey and Tavie (Winkler) Sutton and his brother, Troy Sutton.

He is survived by his brothers, Howard (Barbara) Sutton and Dayton (Julia) Sutton, his sister, Imogene (James) Mabe, his sister-in-law, Wanda Stanifer. Nephews and nieces, Ricky (Jennifer) Sutton, Rita (Eric) Wright, Anita Sutton, Karen (Nathan) Holt, Susan McGaha, Sherry (Carlton) Greene, and Michael (Samantha) Sutton. Great nephews and nieces, Alyssa, Allyson, Russell, Ashlyn, Lexi, Jacob, Caleb, Tavie, Isabella, Aidan, and Matilda. Great-great niece and nephew Charrlene and Boone.

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 5 until 8 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. Mr. Sutton will lie in state on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 1 until 2 PM at Ida's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Sneedville with funeral service to follow at 2 PM. The graveside service to follow in the Winkler Barnard Cemetery.
