Leigh A Lawson-Keller

Leigh Ann Lawson-Keller, age 51 of Tazewell TN, was born November 2, 1968 and passed away on March 24, 2020. Leigh was born and raised in Knoxville TN, before moving to Tazewell. She was a proud member of the medical field, and was a phlebotomist and medical assistant. Even though Leigh was dealing with her own medical problems she always put others before herself. She enjoyed cooking, making cakes for special occasions was one of her favorite activities. Leigh was a lover of all animals, especially elephants. While she never had any biological children, Leigh loved and cared for many children as her own. Family and friends were very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. She is preceded in death by father George Lee Keller, maternal grandparents Jack and Mildred Reed, and paternal grandparents Evelyn and George Keller. Leigh is survived by her wife Candace Lawson-Keller. Children Melanie Cook, Taylor Koons, and Chad North. Six beautiful grandchildren. Mother and father-in-law James and Carol Lawson. Mother Donna Corbitt. Brother Andy Corbitt. Sister-in-law Leigh Ann. Nephews Reed and Matt. As well as a host of cousins, other relatives, and close friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society in Leigh's name.

The family will hold a graveside service Thursday March 26th at 2 PM in the Lawson Family Cemetery in Speedwell. The funeral procession will leave from Coffey Funeral Home at 1:30 PM. Coffey Funeral Home is located at 937 North Broad St New Tazewell TN 37825.
