Lena Jeanette Quesenbery

Mrs. Lena Jeanette Quesenbery, age 88 of New Tazewell, was born June 27, 1926 and passed away July 25, 2014 at her home. Having raised three children in Barberton, Ohio, Lena and husband Billy Grant came “home” to New Tazewell in 1979. The both attended Straight Creek Baptist Church. Lena enjoyed crafting and companionship with the Women’s Homemakers Group at church. She loved spending time with family and friends whether sharing a story, a recipe or just a bit of laughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Grant Quesenbery, Sr; her father Elbert Mitchell and mother Minnie Booher Mitchell; brothers Sam, Mac, Wilmer and George Mitchell; sister Vennie Gray and grandson Jonathan Wolfe.

She is survived by children: Billy Grant (Linda) Quesenbery, Jr. of Daniel Island, S.C.

Linda (Jerry) Craddock of Athens, Ohio

Kathy (Dennis) Sargent of Long Bottom, Ohio

Grandchildren: Ann (Jay) Baldwin, Amy (Kevin Armstrong) Quesenbery, Bill (Ix-Chel) Wolfe, Jesse (Andy) Smith and Ray Sargent

Great-Grandchildren: J.J. Baldwin, Cullen Baldwin, Anna Katherine Baldwin, Amelie Wolfe and Eli Smith

Also close to her heart were dear friends June Keck (Caregiver), Jane Dalton and Dave Quesenbery (Brother-in-law).

The family will receive friends Tuesday July 29, 2014 from 6 until 8 P.M. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 8 P.M. in the Chapel with Wayne Yoakum, officiating, singing will be by Wayne and Barbara Yoakum

Graveside service will be Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Greer Cemetery.
